Why Moving Market?

Fresher Food

Our produce is superior because it is fresher, tastier, and more nutritious than store-bought alternatives. When fruits and vegetables are grown locally, they can be harvested at their peak ripeness, allowing them to retain maximum flavor and essential nutrients.

Better Health

Eating fresh produce is essential for maintaining optimal health due to its rich nutritional profile. Fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and dietary fiber, which can help boost the immune system, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and promote healthy digestion. Regular consumption of fresh produce has been linked to lower blood pressure, improved heart health, and better weight management. Moreover, the variety of colors and textures in fresh fruits and vegetables not only adds vibrancy to meals but also provides a diverse range of nutrients that support overall well-being. Embracing fresh produce in your diet can be a delicious way to nourish your body and enhance your quality of life.

Additionally, our farming partners use sustainable practices, avoiding harmful pesticides and chemicals, which not only benefits the environment but also results in healthier food for consumers.

Stronger Community

We aspire to be everyone’s local grocer!

Supporting local farms fosters community relationships and helps to ensure that farmers can continue to provide quality produce. Ultimately, opting for farm produce means investing in your health while supporting local economies.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The produce we source is grown using sustainable methods and practices. Although the produce meets or exceeds organic standards in many cases, it’s pretty tough to get a USDA Organic stamp - it’s a lengthy process and expensive for small, local farms. So, although we legally cannot use the “USDA Organic” stamp, many items do fit the criteria.

  • Unfortunately, “perfect” produce has become our norm as a society due to grocery store chains being more concerned with selling what looks good, as opposed to what’s actually good for us! Foods grown sustainably may in fact look different from those displayed in grocery stores. The produce is still beyond safe to consume, and it likely in its more natural form.

  • Our inventory is updated on a weekly basis and is dependent on what the farm projects it will be able to harvest when we get there.

We only sell what can be harvested in real time. Therefore, we sell seasonal items, and update our inventory as the seasons change.

  • Actually, not really! Depending on when you plan on cooking/consuming your produce, many items can be left at room temperature for several days.
